Front Window Display: Canada Goose x Herschel Supply

September always brings a flurry of activity in Yorkville as well as in store at Over the Rainbow.

These past few weeks walking around the neighbourhood, every store showcases their TIFF-inspired displays and we’re no exception. This year’s TIFF window was sponsored by Canada Goose.

Toronto has always been dubbed “Hollywood North” and Canada Goose has become the “un-official jacket of film crews everywhere it’s cold“. Fun fact: The Mystique Parka was named after Rebecca Romijn’s X-men Character as they needed a full-length jacket to keep her warm in between shooting scenes.

We also launched a Twitter contest with Canada Goose for TIFF enthusiasts to win a prize pack. It was a digital scavenger hunt where participants had to plug in Google Map coordinates. The first two responses scored prizes like Aviator Hats, Scarves, Water Bottles, Tote Bags and two tickets to a TIFF movie screening. Overall, the energy was high and buzzing in the store and online and we look forward to what TIFF brings about next year.
