IN STORE EVENT: WINTER WARM UP

Tis’ the season to start thinking about winter, the holidays and gift giving. The holiday decorations are now up along the streets of Yorkville, so it was the perfect time to put together an event to showcase what’s hot and trendy.

Faulhaber PR helped put together an amazing event that included media from Lou Lou Magazine, The Marilyn Denis Show, Fashion Magazine and Global News.

We also had yummy snacks and appetizers provided by Jonathan Preskow Catering Inc. to make sure our guests didn’t go hungry while perusing through the different stations throughout the night.

The first station that our guests were treated to was our famous Denim Wall, to learn about the hot, new trends in jeans with Joel.

We also parked our AG gold sewing machine in front of the denim wall, which was a gift from AG’s Owner Mr. Ku. You read about it in this post HERE. Another way to showcase to the media about our in-house alteration service.

Next was the Women’s Fashion Trends with our women’s buyer, Genia. She showcased a variety of trends to look out for the winter/holiday season including fashion forward denim in a variety of colors, patterns (snakeskin) and texture (coated).

Another trend in womens was layering pieces starting from delicate camisoles and blouses, paired with cozy warm sweaters. Top it off with a stylish coat to complete the look.

It was all about fun, fashion-forward denim, and it definitely attracted a lot of attention like Lou Lou Magazine’s Liv Judd, picture above.

Afterwards, our guests then retreated to the middle of the store where our Accessories Buyers, Veronica and Sarvi, displayed their best wares for the winter/holiday season. It was all about adding and enhancing your winter outfit. Whether it be chunky winter knit accessories (hats, gloves/mitts and infinity scarves) to wool socks/colorful tights and finally statement necklaces and cocktail rings. There were also holiday gift giving ideas such as cozy flannel PJ sets, and fuzzy slippers.

Last but not least, at the back of the store in the Mens department with Daniel, our guests learned that chunky wool sweaters in full-zip, shawl collars and hoodies ruled the shelves and racks.

Pair them with button down shirts and cords/khakis/denim and you have the staple ingredients for a fashionable winter outfit.
