This site is dedicated to all things related to our Movember campaign which officially starts on November 1st, 2011.

This year, Over the Rainbow is partnering up with TOMS Canada to raise $25,000 by the end of November for Prostate Cancer. The kicker? Our very own Joel Carman will be shaving off his 44 year-old signature moustache, all in the name of charity!

This is a great initiative that we hope will surpass our $25,000 goal, and we wouldn’t be able to get there without the generous donations from our family, friends, and various OTR supporters. For more information on what Movember is, please visit:

***UPDATE!!!*** “Now that I have raised over $25,000, for every $1000 over $25,000, I will keep my mo off for another day. Let’s make my upper lip bare for all of December!!”

Hi Everyone! Big news and update to the final shave off happening November 30th. I have been asked to shave off my moustache on national television at 8:45 am on Canada AM.

I couldn’t pass this opportunity to help raise awareness and also thank everyone for their support and generous donations on live TV.

Please make sure you tune in next Wednesday morning. I will also be shaving off my ‘mo with my friend Ron Telpner – which is a great honour!



We will continue with the celebrations back at the store at 101 Yorkville from 3 to 8 pm with music, food and of course, a chance to have a picture with me without my ‘mo.

We’re starting preparations inside the store for our Shave Day/Kick-off party for Movember.

Our very own talented OTR staff (Daniel S.) created by hand a fundraising thermometer, or what we like to call a Mo-memeter!
