OTR x National Post x North Star is Back!

As Canadians, it’s in our genes to be proud of our heritage. What better way to show your love for your country than wearing and supporting local brands like North Star.

In an age where life moves fast nowadays, some of us look for those simpler days, where we actually had the Summer off to relax and chill. Well, you can cling on to a piece of that nostalgia through North Star’s camp-inspired or “camp couture” summer collection available exclusively through selected retailers – Over the Rainbow is one of them.

National Post’s Nathalie Atkinson was lucky enough to receive a care package from North Star and she recalls her memories of the brand and all things Canadian:

“Several weeks ago I received a care package wrapped in Kraft paper and tied with twine. It contained packs of retro candy: McGraw’s taffy, Pop Rocks, some Big League Chew. There was also a VHS tape of Meatballs peeking out from a heather grey North Star hoody that had my name written in the collar, on an iron-on laundry tag. It made me nostalgic for the outdoorsy summer camps I never went to and the crappy movie I love but was too young to have seen when it came out (I was all of six years old).” (National Post: Retail Therapy North Star is Back!, June 30 2012)
